Power.

Friend,

This weekend didn’t just mark the 15th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Nor was it just the 57th anniversary of The March on Washington. It was all of that, and it was more.

This Weekend of Justice was one more vital step we take towards a free and equitable society in 2020: The Year of Truth. The year where we refuse to withstand one more moment of police brutality, environmental racism, structural violence of poverty and health inequity, which are all life and death issues in our country and across the world.

Hip Hop Caucus uses cultural power to organize communities that politicians leave behind, and together, we’re building power! Change takes all of us--Chip in $5 today!

DONATE NOW

For fifteen years, we have marched in New Orleans in solidarity and remembrance with survivors of Katrina. We marched from the lower 9th ward where the levees broke, conducted a healing ceremony, and read the names of those we lost. The world heard us.

Yet as we memorialized and marched for justice, President Trump is ready to watch our struggle for justice end in bloodshed. The President continues to call for violent responses1 to protesters demanding justice.

White terrorists all over America are still murdering us and those who protest for us, unless we are joined in our struggle, nothing will change.

We are building a movement. Donate $5 today to keep that movement growing!

We need to end this but we can’t do it without you. Together, we can continue to fight for peace and non violence as our very President unconscionably encourages hate crimes and civil war. Thank you for being in this fight with us. Keep marching with us toward November, and onward.

For Future Generations,
