#MainstreamMedia #Substack #Bias UCLA Professor Sarah Roberts tweeted a warning to the public recently that Substack and other independent media sites are dangerous and that journalists who leave their mainstream corporate jobs to report on the platforms are doing society a disservice. She writes, "Substack is a dangerous direct threat to traditional news media. But more importantly? It is a threat to journalism." Matt Taibbi wrote an article in defense of Substack, pointing to Glenn Greenwald as a likely impetus for Dr. Roberts' twitter rant. Though I don't claim to consistently report in the same manner as when I was employed in legacy news, and regularly do commentary, I think Dr. Roberts arguments are flawed.
