Named a “Hero of the Environment” by Time magazine, he works with the Sierra Nevada Research Institute, the Clarion Writers’ Workshop, and UC San Diego’s Arthur C. | Bryant Terry, an award-winning chef, educator, and author renowned for his activism to create a healthy, just, and sustainable food system, is: Editor-in-Chief of 4 Color Books (an imprint of Penguin Random House and Ten Speed Press); Co-Principal and Innovation Director of the Zenmi creative studio; and Chef-in-Residence at the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) in San Francisco. PRE-CONFERENCE GUIDED TOURS |

On Wednesday, April 5, we’ll welcome registrants to join us for two pre-conference East-Bay social justice-themed guided tours, designed for Bioneers attendees. Each tour will include site visits, presentations by experts, and specially-themed lunches.
Bay Area Green Tours expedition will showcase several cutting-edge socially conscious urban farming and food production projects in the East Bay.
Ethnic Ties Travel tour will celebrate the vibrant cultural history and ever-developing landscape of the East Bay as a hub of social justice activism.
