Poor Donald Chump. Fat, useless and unpopular. Kathryn Palmer (USA TODAY) reports, "A Friday, May 23 average of recent polls from the New York Times gives the second-term president a 45% approval rating, with 51% disapproving of his performance. The outlet's approval rating average has held steady between 44%-45% over the last 30 days, but it does show a downward trend for the president since early March." This tracks with the new RMG Research-NAPOLITAN NEWS poll that Martha McHardy (NEWSWEEK) reports on.
Chump's basically a beached whale -- only fatter -- and his soft belly is weak and defenseless. Tom Boggioni (RAW STORY) explains:
Now that Donald Trump has far surpassed his first hundred in office, longtime New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof claims the president has provided his critics with enough ammunition –– if properly used –– to hamper and derail his second term.
In a column published on Memorial Day weekend, the journalist claimed he sees Trump as "immensely vulnerable" now that he has pursued his policies which have gone far beyond the fears of many voters.
According to Kristof, there are three lines of attack that Democrats can take to halt Trump's march to authoritarianism.
Writing "Trump does give us a great deal to work with," he began with Trump's corruption and explained, "Trump is a felon who is using his office to enrich himself as no president has in history," adding, "The Times reported that more than $2 billion has flowed to Trump companies in just a month, and some of his ventures look alarmingly like opportunities for influence-peddling. How else do we explain his announcement that the biggest investors in his new cryptocurrency memecoin, $TRUMP, would get dinner with him? "
Chump dragged his fat ass to West Point today. He basically crapped himself in front of the young cadets. Hillary Hanson (HUFFINGTON POST) notes:
President Donald Trump went on a tangent about “trophy wives” during his commencement address at West Point Military Academy on Saturday.
Speaking to graduating cadets, Trump told a story about William Levitt, the real estate developer who pioneered mass-produced homes in suburban developments known as Levittowns.
Trump brought Levitt up as an example of someone who had “momentum” in his career and then lost it. While discussing the life of the “great, great real estate man,” Trump made a point to comment on his marital history.
“He ended up getting a divorce, found a new wife,” Trump said. “Could you say a trophy wife? I guess we can say a trophy wife. It didn’t work out too well, but that doesn’t work out too well, I must tell you. A lot of trophy wives, it doesn’t work out. But it made him happy for a little while at least. But he found a new wife.”
What the hell?
He's having a psychotic break or something. What the hell do his lies have to do with a military academy? Am I the only reading those remarks grasping the racism?
Chump's talking about himself and connecting himself with 'poor' Levitt. Levitt wasn't brought down by any of his three wives. He had a promising career up until his racism began to kill it in the early sixties. Does no one remember The Civil Rights Movement? That's what destroyed him. Racism wasn't going to be accepted and overlooked anymore. Refusing to sell homes to Black people was no longer acceptable. Now I know TIME MAGAZINE cleaned him up in their summary back in 1998 but history is history.
Chump connects with Levitt because he's a racist. And they both had three wives. And, like Leavitt, Chump is being brought down by his racism.
Apparently, the closest CNN has come to calling out Chump's praise for and defense of racist Levitt is to term the remarks a speech for "a political rally." Like the one he gave at Madison Square Garden?
Naomi LaChance (ROLLING STONE) reports:
Over and over again, courts have ruled that the Trump administration's actions are unlawful. Speaking before the West Point cadets, Trump expressed hope that judges will stop standing in the way and allow him to continue his lawless deportations, framing them as necessary to stop a criminal "invasion" at the border. "It's not easy, but hopefully the courts will allow us to continue," he said.
Trump separately praised his record so far as president.
"Our country is doing well," he told the cadets. "We've turned it around, very quickly. We've turned it around."
"I just got back from the Middle East, and I was at, as you know, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE. And I will tell you they said, all three leaders, great leaders of those three nations, they all said the same thing: The United States of America is hotter now than we've ever seen it, and a year ago, it was as cold as it gets. It's true. We have the hottest country in the world, and the whole world is talking about it, and that's an honor for all of us. I cannot wait to see the glory that is still ahead."
Oh, they told him he was hot.
Isaiah's THE WORLD TODAY JUST NUTS "Donald Chump's Middle East Whore." As they tossed him the money, Chump felt America was 'hotter than ever.'
Tom Boggioni (RAW STORY) explains:
At the same time that Donald Trump was addressing cadets at West Point's graduation ceremonies, the Washington Post is reporting that some midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy are sneaking around to share complaints about the President's policies.
On Saturday Trump gave a half-commencement speech, half-MAGA rally rant as he spoke to the West Point graduates and their families.
[. . .]
With formerscandal-plagued Fox News personality Pete Hegseth acting as Trump's defense secretary and immediately purging the military of the policies that offend MAGA conservatives, the Post is reporting that there is a growing resistance at the Naval Academy.
"At the U.S. Naval Academy, some midshipmen have started using nongovernment email addresses to run underground versions of the same affinity clubs disbanded by their administration. Others have used the new email addresses to communicate their concerns about banned books or shuttered clubs to professors, according to three faculty members interviewed by The Washington Post," the report states.
According to one of those educators who wished to remain anonymous admitted he told his students, "There is a point where compliance turns into complicity.”
In other Chump news, Fasika Zelealem (DAILY MIRROR) reports:
Donald Trump snubbed the offer to drive the pace car at the Indianapolis 500, amidst speculations of a presidential run.
The United States President was considered for the honor in 2012 during the renowned race's centennial celebration, but cited his busy schedule as the reason for not participating.
Poor Chump. We all know why he turned it down, we've all seen NORBIT.
