    There’s incredibly little good to say about Trump, and he may commit mass murder on a whim at any minute, but his predecessors never seemed to give a flying fuck about civilian casualties in such a circumstance, so this is hardly a moment of peak shame for him.
    The idea that an American President didn’t bother to ask about civilian casualties before ordering a massive military strike, getting around to it only 600 seconds before the attack was to begin, is mind boggling.…

    Now is the time for unambiguous moral opposition to war with Iran, not handwringing about whether Trump is following the right procedure for waging war.
    Going to war without a vote in Congress is deeply unfair to our troops. We're going to let Trump put them in harm's way while Congress hides under our desks, unwilling to put our names behind that war? We ask a lot of our troops. Let's honor them.
