    As for me? Whether it's Turkey/Kurds or Ukraine, I don't pay a great deal of attention to reporting from those who haven't spent a great deal of their career studying these arenas. Most can only parrot what they read or are told and don't have independent knowledge.

    From what I can tell: Ukraine is like many places: rife w/corruption. Ds & Rs generally side w/opposing factions, though there's some crossover. $$ is donated or paid to US interests, accordingly. Each side calls the other corrupt. Maybe there's some corruption on both sides

    Often, what’s being discussed on the news (to the exclusion of other newsworthy topics) has to do with which interests pay $$$ lobbyists, PR firms, nonprofits to contact Congress, reporters, etc to further a particular narrative.
