Some Tweets from Naomi Klein

I wrote this the night Trump was elected, in rage and grief. Inspired by Bloomberg I just re-read it. What strikes me most is that the "centrists" have learned less than nothing but the left has come incredibly far. We can win this. So we must.

You hear a lot about our community on TV. You hear about us, but you never really hear from us. We‘re the border. And we deserve better than Trump’s favorite Democrat. Now let’s make history on March 3:

  • Anytime you let yourself believe in something or someone - really truly believe in it - you risk devastation and heartbreak. A whole lot of people are risking that right now. And we're all terrified. Maybe we should cut each other some slack. Just a thought...
  • Here's the video - this says it was 1952, other sources say 1955:
  • In 1955, Edward Murrow asked Jonas Salk who owned his patent for the polio vaccine. Salk's response: "Well, the people, I would say. There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?” Life saving vaccines should be free. Not "affordable."

If you are a skeptic of Medicare for All, try this. Take note today of the people who come within infecting distance of you. Are you confident they all have access to the care they need to be healthy — and keep you healthy? If not, become interested in what would change that.

Don’t let them steal our democracy. Donate. Vote. Volunteer. Watch independent media.
  • They do. not. care. That's why we need every single vote we can get in every single state. And yeah, that includes the home states of the candidates who have said they have no problem taking this outrageous risk. And don't talk to me about 2016 - Trump wasn't president then.
