In 1981, The Pointer Sisters took "Slow Hand" all the way to number two on The Hot 100. Diana Ross and Lionel Richie's "Endless Love" kept them out of number one (as did the refusal of some radio stations to play "Slow Hand" -- in 1981, this was considered a 'controversial' song).
