The Trump administration is accepting public comments right now on a proposal to let oil and gas corporations drill in the arctic national wildlife refuge. This drilling would have catastrophic consequences for the Gwich’in indigenous people who live there and the wildlife and ecosystem on which they, and we all, depend. We need thousands of comments opposing this dangerous plot!
The Biden administration has promised to halt the unconscionable drilling in the previously protected Arctic National Wildlife Refuge—yet the Trump administration is plowing ahead with a scheme to sell off sacred lands on the way out the door.1
Drilling in the Arctic would have catastrophic impact on the Gwich’in people (who would lose their homes) 2 - and it would pour gasoline on the fire of a rapidly warming planet, at a time when we have fewer than ten years to save the human race from complete extinction3
