Can you imagine a world without toilets? Or toilets with no running water? Worse, having to menstruate without an adequate toilet? For a significant portion of the Indian population, this is not just an imagination, it is their reality. In 2017, India topped the list when it came to the number of people without access to a toilet. An alarming 732 million people could not use toilet facilities, beating China, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Bangladesh. This #WorldToiletDay, let's address some of these issues with an intersectional lens.
