— Today, Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.), issued the following statement
responding to a shooting at a Jewish market in Jersey City this week:
“The
creeping rise of anti-Semitic crimes and violence throughout this
country must be identified, confronted and ultimately stopped.
Yesterday’s targeted shooting at a kosher grocery store and the later
discovery of an operational pipe bomb serve as grave reminders that we
cannot afford silence and we cannot afford complacency when it comes to
combatting anti-Semitic hatred. May the memory of those lost be a
blessing.”
