Gonzales and his love slaves

"There's a general consensus -- quite frankly -- that this is a needed program" designed to listen to al-Qaida's communications, Gonzales told the National Association of Attorneys General Wednesday. "The concern I think that people have, which is a natural concern, is that, is this a limited program?"

From Katherine Shrader's "Gonzales: NSA Program Doesn't Need a Law" (Associated Press). Olympia Snowe and other Senate Republicans willing to do the bidding of the White House (as opposed to represent their constituents) even when the White House doesn't 'need' it.

A Congress that works for the White House and not the people? Something to remember in November of 2006.
