The Heritage We Defend

The Socialist Equality Party has received a strong response to our meeting series celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Fourth International in 1938, “The class struggle, revolution, and socialism in the 21st century.” The meetings have featured David North, chairman of the International Editorial Board of the World Socialist Web Site. More than 100 youth, students and workers attended meetings in Cambridge, Massachusetts and New York City. Other meetings have been held or are being held throughout the country. There is a political radicalization taking place among workers and youth around the world. There is growing interest in socialism but little understanding of what it is and how it can be achieved. Our meetings, as with all of our work, are arming workers and young people with a revolutionary perspective by educating them aboutthe great historical lessons of the twentieth century.
