The event below already took place. Sorry. Went to spam folder and I didn't check that Saturday night (when it was sent). On the weekends, I'm usually the only one who looks at the public e-mail account. I support Will Lehman and would gladly have noted this -- and I know Trina would have as well -- had it come in sooner or not gone to the spam folder.
Dear fellow workers, As of Sunday, September 10, less than five days will remain until the expirations of the contracts for 150,000 Ford, GM and Stellantis workers, with the Canadian autoworkers' contracts expiring a few days after that. Workers are determined to reverse decades of concessions. But the UAW bureaucracy is conspiring behind closed doors with the White House and management on how to impose massive job cuts related to EVs and other major attacks on workers. There is no time to lose! In order to prevent another sellout, the rank and file must take matters into their own hands. Join an urgent online meeting this Sunday at 3 p.m. Eastern/2 p.m. Central time to discuss the latest development in the Big Three contract fight, and the strategy for workers to fight and win: |
I also want to bring to your attention two important initiatives this past week: On Thursday, I released a video statement reviewing the situation facing autoworkers and laying out a program for the rank and file to take the fight in their own hands. Watch and share the statement here →
On Tuesday, I filed an amended lawsuit against the Biden administration’s Department of Labor. I initially filed a lawsuit in July to oppose the disenfranchisement of hundreds of thousands of UAW members during the union’s national elections.
The amended complaint I filed this week demolishes the ridiculous claims by the DOL that I should have filed my suit—which revealed that historically low turnout was the product of deliberate voter suppression by the UAW bureaucracy—before the results of the election were even known. Read and share a news report on my lawsuit here →
