Lana notes Judy Chicago for Women's History Month

Lana: I first came across Judy Chicago's name when I was reading a biography on Anais Nin. I found her statements interesting enough to search out her art.

Her most famous piece of art is The Dinner Party. She's also famous for the Birth Project among other multimedia art projects. She also writes and I'd recommend her book Beyond the Flower: The Autobiography of a Feminist Artist.

She is an important and adventurous artist. Photos of her art can be viewed online at Judy Chicago Through The Flower by clicking on the gallery.

More information on Judy Chicago can be found at The Chelsea Forum.
