U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson administers oath of enlistment to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command’s senior enlisted leaders during a ceremony held on May 9, 2018, at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today administered the ceremonial oath of enlistment for the senior enlisted leaders across the U.S. Army’s Special Operations Command, including the command team from the 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Ga.

Isakson was joined by Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, who led the oath of office for officers of command during a ceremony held on the west front lawn of the U.S. Capitol as part of the U.S. Army Special Operations Commander’s conference.

“It’s a pleasure for me to be here with you and to honor you and your service and your commitment to the country,” Isakson said during remarks before administering the ceremonial oath to enlisted leaders. “We stand today on a beautiful day in front of a beautiful building, as citizens of a great country, with the biggest and most important job of all, and that’s to protect it and defend it. Having the honor of administering the oath to you is one of the best parts of my job. You honor us in your service to the country, and we are happy to serve in the United States Senate and represent your interests.”
