    Khaled al-Asaad was an archaeologist from Syria’s city of Palmyra. Three years ago, he was publicly beheaded by ISIS for protecting Palmyra’s antiquities, & helping evacuate the city’s museum before ISIS’s takeover. Today Palmyra is free thanks to the sacrifices of such heroes.

    No such well-wishes though for the 40 children just murdered and forever separated from their families by Saudi Arabia after it bombed a school bus in Yemen with US weaponry and US support.
    I sincerely appreciate the well wishes on my birthday! I'm blessed to be surrounded by my family and friends today, but I really wish that the 500+ children who remain separated from their families could be reunited with their parents to celebrate their birthdays.
