Help us with our fight in Congress.

Help us with our fight in Congress.

I was heartbroken to learn about how many veterans that were exposed to burn pits that are having their cases against KBR -- the military contractor that irresponsibly handled burn pits in Iraq & Afghanistan -- tossed out due to federal and state laws that aren’t protective of our veterans, or loopholes that KBR uses to avoid being held responsible. We have to fight to change this.
We didn't quite meet our goal of $7,000, but that doesn't mean we stop. I’ll be honest, our 2019 goals are ambitious. We need to raise funds to ensure that we can be successful with our ambitious legislative agenda. Our plan is to work with legislators to close gaps in existing laws and create new ones, but we also want to educate those legislators that decide the fate of our soldiers.

Funds raised will go towards our planned 2019 symposium in Washington D.C. where we can sit down face-to-face with Members of Congress to educate them on our issues so that they know what’s at stake for our vets that suffer from the toxic wounds of war. I need your help. As the wife of a veteran suffering from burn pits exposure, I can't tell you how personal accomplishing this is for me. I see Le Roy suffering on a daily basis, and the constant battles he goes through to make it to each day, and there are thousands out there just like him.

Can you chip in $36 right now to help us educate legislators properly? I know you’ve been with us every step of the way and I hope we can have your continued support.
I hope your holiday season was joyous and peaceful, and look forward to fighting alongside with you in 2019.

Best,
Rosie Torres
