The Myths of American Exceptionalism w/ Gerald Horne and Carl Zha SPECIAL JULY 4TH LIVESTREAM

 Millions across the United States celebrate the origins of the United States annually on July 4th. Danny Haiphong hosts a special livestream with special guests Carl Zha and Dr. Gerald Horne to discuss the myths of American exceptionalism and their implications at home and abroad.

Carl Zha joins for the first hour to discuss the CPC's 100th anniversary and its implications for American exceptionalism. Dr. Horne joins for the second hour to discuss the U.S. origins story and the myths of American exceptionalism surrounding July 4th. Carl Zha is a political commentator and host of the Silk and Steel Podcast. Dr. Gerald Horne holds the Moores Professorship of History and African American Studies. His research has addressed issues of racism in a variety of relations involving labor, politics, civil rights, international relations, & war. He has also written extensively about the film industry. Dr. Horne received his Ph.D in history from Columbia University and his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley and his B.A. from Princeton University. He is the author of several books, including the Counter Revolution of 1776: Slave Resistance and the United States of America.
