Diana Ross/Diana and Marvin How Diana Ross Turned spite into love and spun gold for this duet album

For the record, when this album came out, Stevie Wonder was -- and had been -- the King of Motown to Diana's Queen.   Diana, from 1970 up to the release of this album, had 7 top forty pop hits,  Marvin during this period has 6 top forty hits and Stevie had 8 top forty hits.  Sales?  This is MOTOWN and it took a long time for MOTOWN to want to pay for certifications.  In the early days, they just declared (themselves) that an artist had a gold or platinum record.  Stevie is a friend and I'm not at all impressed with the revisionary efforts to reduce Stevie who was one of the few true artists to come out of MOTOWN (certainly, Diana was one, there was also Smokey and Rick James and among groups there were THE TEMPTATIONS and The Four Tops -- behind the scenes stars would include H-D-H and Ashford & Simpson).
