A few media thoughts

BLUESKY users.  Question: Do we want transphobes?  I'm blocking them.  I'm just surprised that the MAGA trash felt it could move over to BLUESKY so soon.  


In other garbage news, Carrie Underwood:


Carrie Underwood’s rendition of “America the Beautiful” at President Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration went viral after being hit by technical difficulties, but all that extra attention failed to result in an increase in listenership for the American Idol winner.

In fact, her streaming numbers actually fell on Inauguration Day. According to entertainment data analysts Luminate, her music was streamed 1.46 million times on Monday January 20, down six percent from the previous Monday when it was streamed 1.55 million times.


Couldn't have happened to a bigger idiot or piece of trash.  

She's a hateful woman, yes, but she's also deeply stupid.  Country radio isn't playing solo female singers.  And MAGA feels someone like Carrie should be at home not pursuing a career.  So her embrace of MAGA just ran off her real fans and MAGA's not going to help her.  I understand a network's already recieving huge complaints about her upcoming return to AMERICAN IDOL


MAGA was never your fan, you dumb idiot.  You killed your own career.  Go record some more crap duets with Jason Aldean -- maybe "He Puts Me Back In The Kitchen And I Love It!" -- but grasp that your solo career is over.  Your fans didn't take you for a doormat.

Speaking of trash, Dr. Phil:


The TV host known as "Dr. Phil" embedded with U.S. immigration enforcement officers during an operation in Chicago on Sunday, defending President Donald Trump's deportation effort as the crackdown neared the end of its first week.
Phil McGraw, known as "Dr. Phil" for the eponymous American television series focused on mental health, followed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and other federal agents during the action, according to his X account and two sources familiar with the matter.


Remember how he slit his own wrist appearing at the KKK rally in Madison Garden for Donald Chump?  And then he tried to walk it back?  No, we know the garbage he truly is.

No one watches Dr Phil anymore.  Hasn't for several years now.  He's a bit like NEWS NATION in that regard.


Have you caught their new commercial?  Watch them for timely news -- they beg -- as they offer Bill O'Reilly and some other man criticizing Joe Biden.


Timely!


At least for those on machines keeping them alive but for those of us with functioning brains and lungs, we're left to grasp that NEWS NATION is advertising themselves as the place go for 'timely' discussions about the last president and not the current one. 


And it's also the place to go when you want to view someone who has been sued seven times for sexual harassment.  NEWS NATION -- tired, dated and a haven for criminals.


And this when we could really use actual journalism.  Saw this on BLUESKY.


Maybe Mississippi should put their resources toward educating children and feeding the hungry. This is deplorable.
