Some Tweets from Sarah Abdallah

  • Saudi Arabia has been bombing and starving Yemen for years now with full US-UK support and total impunity, killing thousands of civilians, including scores of kids, but it is the disappearance of one Washington Post columnist that triggers outrage and condemnation from the media.
  • Not on mainstream media: Huge celebrations for the end of summer were held in Syria’s Aleppo, free of ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorists. (Photos via )

Rand Paul: “The Saudis will keep killing civilians and journalists as long as we keep arming and assisting them. The President should immediately halt arms sales and military support to Saudi Arabia.”

Saudi Arabia has been bombing kids in Yemen for months and yet big corporations and media outlets have only just discovered their moral conscience over a missing journalist?

This is policy being influenced/dictated by lobbyists of the arms industry. Trump is saying that our economy is dependent on selling weapons to theocratic dictators who use those weapons to murder tens of thousands of innocent people. This must change.
  • The sanctions and wars you championed as Clinton’s Secretary of State destroyed the lives of millions of girls and their families. But you want us to believe you’re an advocate for the rights of impoverished women the world over? Please.
  • Newsflash, mainstream media: These “cute” stories about Michelle Obama declaring her “love” for Bush doesn’t change the fact that he’s a war criminal responsible for the suffering of millions and so is her husband.

We should all be angry about what appears to be a blatant act of murder by Saudi Arabia, but notice that the senseless killing of one well-connected dissident journalist has triggered way more elite outrage than the prolonged and brutal bombing of thousands of anonymous Yemenis.

Thread: 1. Facebook and Twitter have unpublished the Anti-Media, a website that I am proud to have worked for since 2016. This is painfully unfortunate, even though we all saw this coming a long time ago. They began attacking our source of income after the "fake news" hysteria..
  • Reminder: Saudi Arabia is calling for the beheading of female human rights defender Israa Al-Ghomgham because she participated in peaceful protests. This is the same oppressive regime which still sits on the UN Women’s Rights Commission. Let that sink in.

Time and again, clear evidence has proven that sending American taxpayer support to Saudi Arabia is not in our national security interest and instead helps further destabilize the Middle East. My bill gives Congress another chance to take a stand.
  • Um. Your boss Obama brought the slave trade back in Libya and destroyed one of the world’s oldest civilizations in Syria. And his predecessor bombed Iraq to ruin on outright lies. Short memory much?

I have spoken out loudly on this for some time, and I’ve also introduced legislation to halt U.S. arms sales to Saudi Arabia. This oppressive regime must be held accountable for its actions.
  • Considering Bush destroyed Afghanistan and Iraq while Michelle Obama’s husband destroyed Syria, Libya and gave Saudi Arabia the go-ahead to commit genocide in Yemen, “partner in crime” is actually the perfect phrase.
  • The NATO bombing of Libya you spearheaded separated families forever. So did the intervention you backed in Syria that saw billions in arms transfered to Al-Qaeda jihadists. So did the brutal military coup regime in Honduras you helped install. You are not a humanitarian.

Its good some media & politicians are criticizing Saudi Arabia for likely murder of a journalist in their embassy. But will they condemn Saudi Arabia & Trump Admin for the genocide being waged in Yemen, where Saudi/US is complicit in the murder of thousands of children/civilians?

  • But giving guns and heavy weaponry worth billions of US tax dollars to jihadist terrorists wreaking havoc in Syria and Libya, killing thousands of civilians, was perfectly okay? Save us the crocodile tears.
  • The guy who invaded Iraq on a pack of lies, killing and displacing millions and giving rise to ISIS, is receiving the “Liberty” Medal from the guy whose administration armed terrorists in Syria, brought slavery back in Libya and spied on 193 countries.
  • The kind of beautiful news from Syria that will never make it to the mainstream media: For the very first time in several years, and in spite of the destruction, Syrians hold a mass at the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Syria’s town of Zabadani, free of terrorism.

I am heartened to see others coming to see the abuses of the Saudi regime. Unfortunately that’s not enough. We sell billions of $ of weapons to them and assist with their war in Yemen. I’m hoping and others will now join me in halting arms sales and military support
  • History will also record that Nikki Haley staunchly defended Al-Qaeda jihadists in Syria.
  • Then he turned around and destroyed Libya, turning it into a safe haven for slave-selling jihadists, enabled and facilitated Saudi Arabia’s genocidal war in Yemen, and dropped 26,171 bombs on 7 countries in a single year alone. So much for “peace”.
