UK leaves base but stays in Iraq

As noted in the video above, the United Kingdom is withdrawing its forces from the Taji base in Iraq.  Don't cheer.  They're just leaving the base.  As they note in a press release, "The British army are handing over at Camp Taji, but are by no means leaving Iraq."

The world couldn't be that lucky.

And to make it even more clear that the UK will continue it's role in the war, the day after they made that announcement, they issued an update on the bombs they were dropping on Iraq -- still dropping on Iraq.

The departure from Taji follows attacks on Taji.  The most infamous attack was the March 11th one that left one British solider and two Americans dead with fourteen more people injured.  March 14th saw another rocket attack.
