Look, it's the people who don't want Iraq to become a catastrophe -- don't want it to become one

Criminally insane or just a compulsive liar?  That's the question that Adele Carter's writing raisies.  At INTERNATIONAL POLICY DIGEST, she writes:

Afghanistan was not ready for the withdrawal of U.S. troops. Now, minority groups there face extreme dangers, terrorism thrives, and many Afghans are experiencing displacement and desperate poverty. It is not ready for the withdrawal of U.S. troops. If a withdrawal occurs, the world will potentially witness another catastrophe.

Iraq will face ongoing pressure and threats from Iran and extremist groups once the U.S. withdraws its remaining 2,500 U.S. military personnel at the end of 2021. Instead of a withdrawal, the U.S. should increase the number of U.S. service personnel stationed in Iraq to 3,500 through the end of 2022. An increase in service members would lessen the possibility of security threats, aid in the reconstruction of Iraq’s military, and increase the safety of Iraqi citizens.

The world "will potentially witness another catastrophe"?

Another?  Iraq's a catastrophe right now.  You have to be a liar or insane to deny that?

But we do, don't we?

Day after day -- not just Adele Carter -- we pretend Iraq's wonderful and that we, in the US (or UK or Ausralia or . . .) didn't destroy Iraq..

Another catastrophe?  I love these people who are worried about ''another catastrophe" when they can't even make time to follow the current one, the current one we created.

Iraq's not on the nightly news in the US.  Rachel Maddow spent hours repeating known lies (Russia-gate) but ignores Iraq.  In fairness to Iraq, considering that she supported the war on Iraq in the fall of 2002 and on through -- up until she shows up on AIR AMERICA RADIO in 2004 -- maybe we're better off with her keeping her mouth shut?

People whine about the US debt but they don't detail the billions wasted on war with Iraq.

There are so many ways and reasons that Iraq could be covered daily on cable 'news' and broadcast news and in our newspapers and at news websites

Or, hey, how about all the Meryl Streeps, and other fake asses, in their award moments of 'concern,' stop glorifying outlets that pimped the war on Iraq or pretending they care about any real issue and use their time to pretend that they care about the underage girl who's been forced into marriage in Iraq with a man over twice her age.  How there's a court battle going on about that?  Or how about they note the murder of journalists and activists in Iraq?  And how no one ever gets punished for it?

There's so much in they could raise awareness in those rare moments when they pretend to care.

What did Meryl tell Ronan?  About why everyone should leave Harvey Weinstein alone?  Oh, that's right.  She said Harvey gives money to our causes.  She said 'helps' but she meant gives money and what she meant as our causes was electing Democrats.  She's just uneducated trash posing as caring.

It's really time her revaluation.  Also time for feminists to take a hard look at (a) how she ran from feminism while pretending to give a damn and (b) how she was destructive to other actresses.  Most of all, how she pretends to care about people but they're all just potential voters and, if they don't vote the way she wants, she doesn't even pretend to care about them anymore.

Iraq suffers to this day.  Suffers every day.  A lunatic thinks keeping US forces on the ground -- the thing that has made Iraq worse, the very thing -- will make Iraq better.  But, then again, she also denies the catastrophe that Iraq currently is.
