Turning to the occupied state of Minnesota, BRING ME THE NEWS notes, "St. Paul Public Schools says two of its vans were stopped by ICE agents while students and staff were on board. According to a statement from the district, two of its contracted vans were pulled over by ICE agents on their way to school last week." Stopping school buses? One of the many ICE abuses that have outraged Americans. And theyre not going to just sit down and take it. Matt Lavietes (NBC NEWS) reports:
Standing outside his son’s elementary school, a father heard a warning crackle over his walkie-talkie: a suspicious car nearby.
At another school, volunteer Joe Dirkswager stood watch, nodding at passing vehicles. Miles away in St. Paul, Matthew Kearns was questioning unfamiliar individuals near the school he graduated from decades ago.
The three are among the volunteers who have begun patrolling streets around elementary and high schools in the Twin Cities, using walkie-talkies, Signal group chats and whistles to warn families and school staff of immigration enforcement activities. The informal patrols have emerged amid a sharp surge of federal immigration personnel in Minnesota and the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer last week.
On Thursday afternoon, about two dozen adults lined the perimeter of Green Central Elementary School in central Minneapolis, just blocks from where Good was killed. Patrol volunteers scanned nearby streets and relayed updates in real time.
As Alex Bollinger (LGBTQ NATION) notes, the administration is losing it over the public's reaction to ICE's actions including the murder of Renee Nicole Goodman, "White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt lashed out at a journalist after he asked why the administration is saying that ICE is “doing everything correctly” even after queer mom Renee Good was shot in the face three times by an ICE agent. Leavitt then ranted about how he is a left-wing 'hack' who should be reporting administration propaganda instead of asking questions about ICE’s brutality."
Serial liar and plastic surgery victim Kristi Noem appeared on CBS' FACE THE NATION today. Katie Francis (DAILY BEAST) notes:
Kristi Noem was cornered into admitting the ICE agent involved in the fatal shooting of Renee Good was being investigated per protocol.
The Department of Homeland Security Secretary was confronted by CBS News’ Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan about whether the agent Jonathan Ross’ conduct was being reviewed after the shooting in Minneapolis on Jan. 7.
“We are following the exact same investigative and review process that we always have under ICE and under the Department of Homeland Security and within the administration. The exact same policy that the Biden administration used,” Noem said during the interview Sunday.
So he's being investigated if . . . the noted liar is telling the truth this time. If. Always a big if with Kristi Noem. Sydney Kashiwagi (THE MINNESOTA STAR TRIBUNE) reports, "The DOJ is not investigating ICE agent Jonathan Ross for the fatal shooting of Renee Good, a top official said Sunday. The top DOJ official confirmed that an investigation is underway into Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey." So there's not an investigation. Supposedly, there's an internal review within the Homeland Security Dept and we all know how worthless that is. Sarah Fortensky (THE HILL) adds:
Noem pushed back on Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s (D) statement that “The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her.”
“I would not listen to Gov. Walz,” Noem said in response. “He has a very bad track record.”
He has a bad track record? He has? Look who's talking. Or, better yet, look at Kristi and looks who's lying -- again. Robert Mackey (GUARDIAN) notes Deputy AG Todd Blanche's remarks, "Blanche, a former personal lawyer for Donald Trump before he won his second presidency, dismissed the need for any criminal investigation of Ross during an interview with Fox News. He suggested that the officer was cleared by the publicly available video evidence." Those would be the videos that make it clear murdered Jonathan Ross was not struck by Renee's car, that Ross broke rules and protocol by stepping in front of the vehicle, he broke rules and protocol by shooting into the car and he did so when there was no threat of harm to him. Todd Blanche is a liar and he's trash. We now know he lies. He's not just stupid, he's a liar.
The Justice Dept won't investigate Jonathan Ross but they will investigate Tim Walz and Jacob Frey. As well as Renee's spouse. Ryan J. Reilly, Julia Ainsley and Jon Schuppe (NBC NEWS) report:
Federal officials are investigating Renee Nicole Good’s [WIFE!] partner to determine whether she may have impeded a federal officer moments before he shot and killed Good in Minneapolis, according to two people familiar with the investigation who spoke to NBC News.
The federal investigation into the shooting by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jonathan Ross is focusing more on Becca Good, including what officials said were her possible ties to activist groups, and less on Ross’ actions when he fired into Renee Good’s vehicle during an immigration operation last week, the people said.
The fatal encounter has touched off protests in Minneapolis and calls for accountability for immigration officers, whose tactics have resulted in at least 10 other shootings since September.
Antonio Romanucci, Becca Good’s lawyer, said in a statement Saturday that “there has been no contact from the FBI or federal officials indicating Becca Good is the subject of an investigation.”
Let's review so that we're all on the same page. A woman was murdered, shot dead. An unarmed woman was shot dead. And, in response, the FBI has opened investigations into Governor Walz, Mayor Frey and Renee's spouse -- none of whom held the gun that killed Renee. And as for "[WIFE!}" -- NBC NEWS used "partner." That's Renee's wife. They share the same last name or did NBC NEWS not notice that. PEOPLE has referred to Becca as her "wife" and THE NEW YORK POST has referred to her as her "widow." Why is NBC NEWS attempting to make it sound like Renee and Becca were partners in a bridge game instead of a married couple?
And let's note Cheyanne M. Daniels' report from POLITICO:
“We wouldn’t be in this situation if Joe Biden hadn’t allowed our open border policies to be in place and allowed up to 20 million people unvetted into this country,” Noem said. When Brennan asked for the breakdown those in custody who have actually committed a criminal offense, Noem said every single individual has committed a crime — and 70 percent have committed or have charges against them on violent crimes.
Turning to the pedophile protector that is Donald Chump. Last week, he got confronted with that reality at a Ford plant in Dearborn when a worker there, TJ Sabula, yelled that accurate term at him and Chump responded like the lunatic that he is by responding with repeated "F**k you!"s and flipping hi the finger. Ben Solis (MICHIGAN ADVOCATE) attempted to pretty it up:
Bungling, Ben? Bungling? It's breaking the law and it's doing so intentionally. Chump knows that, he signed it into law. Or is the dementia so great that he can't even remember what he did back in November? All the Epstein files the government has were supposed to be released last month. Instead, Pam da Bimbo Bondi, Attorney General in the Administration of corruption insists that 1% -- one percent -- of the fies have now been released. 1% isn't all files, 1% isn't even half the files. For the record, the Justice Dept insists there are 5.2 million documents. And Chump and the corrupt crew are now trying to circumvent the new law. AP's Michael R. Sisak and Larry Neumeister explain, "Manhattan's top federal prosecutor said Friday that a judge lacks the authority to appoint a neutral expert to oversee the public release of documents in the sex trafficking probe of financier Jeffrey Epstein and British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. Judge Paul A. Engelmayer was told in a letter signed by U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton that he must reject a request this week by the congressional cosponsors of the Epstein Files Transparency Act to appoint a neutral expert." CNBC adds:
The DOJ since December has been releasing caches of documents tied to its investigations of Epstein. But U.S. Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie have criticized the department’s slow pace.
Khanna, a California Democrat, and Massie, a Kentucky Republican, last week said they asked U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer to permit them to file a brief that would argue for the appointment of a special master and independent monitor, given the Justice Department’s failure to fully comply with a law that requires the DOJ to release all records related to Epstein by Dec. 19.
And tie all of this into Chump raging over the phone to former US House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene that she needed to drop her support for the released of the Epstein files because releasing them would embarrass his powerful friends and he's not going to do that. Americans are watching. They see that his corrupt and rich friends get protected again while females were sex trafficked and abused. As usual, Chump is the wrong side and, as usual, he's not fighting for the American people. He is, in fact, a pedophile protector. Again, Americans are watching. They see this.
Ariel Edwards-Levy (CNN) notes:
Few Americans are satisfied with the amount of evidence released in the Jeffrey Epstein case, a CNN poll conducted by SSRS finds, with most saying they believe the government is intentionally holding back information.
The poll was conducted a little less than a month after the December 19 deadline that Congress gave the Justice Department to release all of its files about Epstein.
The Justice Department estimated earlier in January that it had released less than 1% of its Epstein-related files. Department officials told a court Friday they had enlisted approximately 80 more attorneys from the department’s criminal division to work with prosecutors in New York’s Southern District to review documents related the convicted sex offender.
A two-thirds majority of Americans say the federal government is intentionally holding back some information about the Epstein case that should be released, while just 16% say the government is making an effort to release all information possible. The remainder say they haven’t heard enough about the case to say.
Riya Siddhacharjee (MEAWW) reports on another poll:
A new poll has revealed that the majority of Americans believe President Donald Trump was aware of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.
According to a new national survey by YouGov, 71% of the survey responders believe Trump knew about Epstein’s crimes involving minors.
A smaller but still significant percentage (49%) believes Trump was directly involved in the disgraced financier's offenses.
In related news, no boundaries Robert Kennedy Junior has wandered into the story. Please remember that right before his run as an 'independent' candidate for US president ended, he had an affair with a journalists. Please remember that he recent book makes clear that she lied -- and we told she did in real time -- when she said that the affair consisted only of sexual texts. In the book, she explains Junior told her that if it was just sexual texts being reported, his candidacy could survive. She lies for him. And also remember that prior to that while still on the campaign trail, charges that he had sexually assaulted a baby sitter for his kids had emerged and he refused to talk about that to the press.
He's been a whore and tramp his entire life. At one point, low on cash and needing a fix of heroin, he's even rumored to have given up the butt to a guy or two. Now Thea Felicity (INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TIMES) notes:
A video has resurfaced showing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. referring to Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, as 'wonderful to me' and 'kind'. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors. Critics noted that Kennedy's comments did not acknowledge the victims or the severity of her offences.
Many social media users responded critically, saying that calling a convicted child molester 'wonderful' reflects a disconnect from the harm caused. One commentator described the statement as 'not empathy for victims, not disgust, just nostalgia for his own comfort', noting how privileged men sometimes shield or polish the reputations of powerful enablers. Another user sarcastically asked whether Kennedy had been 'on the island of young girls and maybe boys too'.
Further criticism explained that Maxwell's kindness was selective, targeting those who were wealthy or influential. A widely shared comment noted that her behaviour towards Kennedy reflected his elite status rather than genuine morality, writing: 'She was kind to you...not because she was naturally kind...because you're a member of the elite...you're a Kennedy...she saw you as someone who could do something for her'.
The video, which was first published by Distill Social, shows Trump walking around a raised portion of the Dearborn F-150 plant when the worker, who is not seen on screen, yells to Trump and calls him a “pedophile protector,” a reference to Trump’s widely reported connections to deceased pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein and the Trump administration’s bungling of a new law that ordered the FBI to release all of the files that the department had available to them.
