It’s moments like this you should really question why CNN, why the US government and its proxy think tanks are so scared of what people like me and @AnissaNow have to say. These entities really want to shut us up. Why? Because we say things like this

Anya Parampil: Facebook censorship of #InTheNow absolutely has to do with the content they put out—particularly on issues of U.S. empire. // @IntheNow_tweet

If Facebook is gonna ban @RaniaKhalek and @IntheNow_tweet for ties to RT because that network apparently does propaganda sometimes, and turn a blind eye to all the propaganda done by US cable news (e.g. "Saddam has WMD"), that's pretty fucked up and inconsistent.

Today, 18.6 million Yemenis face starvation bc of the US - Saudi-led war & illegal blockade.
Now, Saudi Arabia is targeting Yemen's last remaining lifeline for survival, their fishing market, by kidnapping, torturing and murdering fishermen in Hodeidah.

It has been 3 days since @facebook suspended @IntheNow_tweet's page at the behest of @CNN and US government funded think tanks. We had almost 4 million subscribers, did not violate any Facebook rules, were given no warning & Facebook isn’t responding to us.

Ah...it's great that Silicon Valley takes down "foreign disinfo" accounts based on information fed to it by corrupt national security thinktanks, all while keeping American disinfo accounts up and running.
When American oligarchs do domestic disinfo, it's democracy.

Highly recommend this @UnauthorizedDis interview with Christina Schiavoni. She discusses how violent opposition mobs targeted symbols of Venezuela's food sovereignty and corporations keep staple foods off the shelves. http://unauthorizeddisclosure.libsyn.com/s6-episode-6-christina-schiavoni …
Seriously, I encourage you to watch the videos I’ve posted in this thread & go check out @IntheNow_tweet’s other videos, which cover climate change, politics & history. Watch and ask yourself why CNN finds this content so offensive that it pressured @Facebook to censor it
Here’s another piece of adversarial content that CNN and US government funded think tanks have convinced @Facebook to censor by taking down @IntheNow_tweet’s page. CNN’s @brianstelter outrageously equated our content w/ anti-vaxxers. Decide for yourself

Please express your concerns to @facebook about their censorship of @IntheNow_tweet at the behest of US government funded think tanks. They need to know that their users are not okay with governments dictating what ppl see and don’t see.
AT&T, CNN’s funder, also eagerly collaborated with the NSA’s warrantless spying on Americans. If we went by CNN’s backwards logic, then we’d be implicating CNN’s journalist in that (which we shouldn’t) http://fortune.com/2015/08/18/att-nsa/ppppp …

CNN reporter who worked on story conceded in interview on CNN: videos make "lot of legitimate arguments" and they "weren't necessarily hiding their Russian ties."
Didn't matter. CNN got Facebook to censor media org's pages. They manufactured news so they'd have story.

CNN reporter said they contacted Facebook on February 13. Facebook replied they were "contemplating" doing something. CNN held story for about 2 days. When Facebook removed pages, including one featuring @RaniaKhalek's work, then CNN published.
Even if you despise my opinions, you should be outraged on free speech grounds. That Facebook can wipe out the audience and hard work of a verified and massive page without even communicating with us is alarming. What will it take for @facebook to stop engaging in censorship?

Asserts editorial control over Rania or other journalists. The truth is—it’s not the fact that Rania @IntheNow_tweet has Russian funding-it’s the stories & narratives they challenge that’s the problem for @cnn. This is the new McCarthyism. I am scared as an independent journalist

I don’t see @cnn having @neeratanden on from CAP disclosing they are funded by UAE/Saudi Arabia. Or the various pundits/“experts” with financial ties to Israel. Yet somehow, @cnn finds it’s role to police journalism that’s funded by Russia—which CNN has never actually proven

The level of propaganda in this @cnn “report” on @RaniaKhalek @IntheNow_tweet is astounding. CNN challenges not one fact in their reporting, acknowledges they didn’t break one rule on Facebook, yet somehow frames a narrative that they are “disinformation.”
