NEW YORK, NY (September 26, 2017) — Following is statement from Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America:

“We have seen that IAVA’s Post-9/11 veterans have opinions all across the spectrum on this issue. Our members’ opinions, just like our members themselves, are very diverse. We hope all their voices are heard and respected as much as those of any professional athlete or politician. As we often strive for on divisive issues, we hope our community’s example of teamwork in combat will encourage Americans of all views to find ways to work together respectfully in unity.”
