South Central Michigan Greens to Meet Saturday,
March 21 1-3pm at Emmett Township Biggby's
============================================
Criminal-Justice Reform Group MI Liberation Invited

On Agenda:  Report on Presidential Candidate Forum;
State, National Convention Status; Labor History Walk

South Central Michigan Greens has invited criminal-justice reform group
Michigan Liberation to the local's monthly meeting 1-3pm on Saturday,
March 21 at Biggby's Coffee, 1125 East Michigan Avenue, west off I-94's
Exit 104 in Emmett Township near Battle Creek.

Co-founders Monika Schwab of Jackson and John Anthony La Pietra of
Marshall will report on the forum of Green Presidential candidates held
at the recent statewide meeting March 7 in Grand Rapids.  Both
co-founders were elected as state officers at the meeting.

La Pietra will report on the status of the Green Party's state and
national nominating conventions.  The Green Party of Michigan convention
is scheduled for June 20 at Lansing Community College-West, and the
Green Party of the United States is scheduled to hold its Presidential
nominating convention at Wayne State University in Detroit July 9~12.

"Michigan Greens are looking for good ways to make both events safe and
successful despite the COVID-19 emergency," La Pietra commented, adding
that the pandemic and the weak US government responses to it so far show
how much we need the better personal and public health, at less cost,
that universal health care could be giving us.

The local also plans to host the first Labor History Walk of 2020 in
Marshall on Saturday, May 2 -- in honor of International Labor Day (May
1) -- and another around September 7, Labor Day in the US.

The local meeting is an event on Facebook:
